No homework - Happy Halloween! Try to get to bed at a reasonable hour, we have a big day tomorrow.
If you do not yet have your electric box rough draft completed, that would be a priority tonight. Otherwise, enjoy trick-or-treating.
Please email with questions.
Thanks to all the parents that helped out today with the El Mercado field trip, and the Halloween party. Mrs. Davies, Mrs. Benson, Mrs. Watts, Mrs. Culbert, Mrs. Steinlage, Mrs. McAdam, Mrs. Casserly, Mrs. Weber, and whomever else I may have missed. Thanks so much!
Mr. Spooky Schmidt

Classwork 10/26
Science:
Electric box project- students have been given topics, and are asked to decorate their box in the theme of their topic, as well as to draft a copy of the ten pairs of matching answers for Tuesday. I will review them and we will print final copies on Tuesday. We are assembling the boxes on Thursday. The students should have some understanding of what to do, but here are some reminders:
-The box lid must come completely off (no hinges)
-Avoid metallic tape and wrapping paper
-Consider the size- remember you're going to put text on the box, so the lid should be sizable enough for the text required
Miscellaneous:
Menu options for El Mercado have gone home- please help your child pick a suitable meal for Wednesday's field trip. They are to circle their choice and hand it in to me on Tuesday.
CHECK POWERSCHOOL. I AM FINALIZING GRADES MONDAY.
Thanks,
Mr. Schmidt

SS: NE state and capitals test Friday! We made flash cards today, so students can practice the states and capitals throughout the week.
Miscellaneous:
Students are asked to bring in a shoe box for a project we're doing next week. The box cannot have be metallic, and the lid must be totally free of the box (meaning it's not hinged). These should be brought in by the end of the week. I just thought of this now, so they do not have it listed in their planners.
Thanks,
