*We will take our Unit 1 test on Friday, 9/24. We will have a comprehensive review two days before the test, with additional practice the day before the test.

LA: We took our Weekly Skills and Spelling tests. We are still working out the kinks in Powergrade, so scores will be posted early next week.

SS: We read about the Gulf of Mexico oil spill and the many issues it has caused for the people, plants, and animals that depend on the gulf in our weekly Time For Kids magazine.

Religion: We reviewed our lessons from last week and this week, and took a group quiz together.

IMPORTANT INFO

9/21 - Picture Day! Picture order forms have gone home today. Please bring those back on Tuesday, the day we take our pictures.

MARATHON - Our marathon pep fest was a lot of fun this morning! Every student is asked to raise $100 for our school. Envelopes for money collection have gone home today- please bring them back every day, money or no. It promises to be a great marathon!

9/24 - Everyone's favorite fruit smoothie is back . . . INTAJUICE! Intajuice is $2. Students can bring in money Monday-Wednesday.

9/24 - Parent Coffee. Our room 107 room moms (Mrs. May and Mrs. Schmidt) have set up our parent coffee for 8:25 - 9:25 am next Friday. This is your opportunity to sign up for field trips, parties, class experiments, service projects, and a variety of other important jobs that help our class! Thank you for your support in advance!

MAP Assessment - Next Tuesday (9/21) and Friday (9/24) the students in my class will be taking their MAP assessments in math and reading. You can read about the assessment at nwea.org.

9/22 - Mass day. Please come join us for Mass next Wednesday morning at 9:00.
